Tomfest Australia Incorporated is a strictly non-profit organisation inspired by the musical ambitions of Mt Barker musician and instrumental teacher Tom Mundy. 

In 2008, a year after his tragic death, Tom’s family, friends and colleagues staged a local outdoor music event dedicated to his memory. The first Tomfest event was a resounding success, and with council and community support, it has now become an annual event on the Mt Barker calendar. 

The outdoor concert showcasing local bands and artists is followed by a memorial ceremony where audience members are invited to light a candle in memory of loved ones lost in road accidents or by other means.
